The Two Faces of Being: When Matter Reveals Its Hidden Light
The Two Faces of Being: When Matter Reveals Its Hidden Light
In our constant quest to understand the mysteries of the universe at Lux Esoterica, we often forget that the greatest enigma resides within ourselves. We observe the world through a limited spectrum, convinced that what we see with the naked eye is the totality of reality. However, what happens when we change the light we look with?
The image before us today is a portal to that very reflection. A split portrait that speaks not of two different people, but of the multiple frequencies that inhabit a single being.
The Soma and Tangible Reality
On the left half, we encounter our physical anchor, the soma. This is the daytime mask we present to the world. Built from accumulated experiences, we can almost feel the thick textures, as if layers of gesso and acrylic had been applied with a palette knife to build a solid, palpable identity.
Warm tones dominate here, the sunlight molding matter. It is a beautiful, serene face, but ultimately earthly. It represents our ego, our interaction with the three-dimensional world, and the armor we forge to navigate daily life.
The Lux Esoterica: The Face of the Soul
But the true mystery is revealed on the right half. When the mundane light fades and a different frequency comes into play—that hidden, vibrant ultraviolet light—physical matter vanishes to give way to pure energy.
This is our esoteric nature. Under this new illumination, the same textures that previously formed skin and flesh are now channels for an overwhelming emotional force. The neon tones, vibrating in glowing magentas, blues, and radiant greens, do not come from the outside, but seem to emanate from within the canvas itself.
Pay special attention to the gaze. The eye, that timeless symbol of perception and the awakening of consciousness, now glows with supernatural intensity. It is no longer a biological organ; it is an illuminated window observing us from another dimension, revealing truths that daylight prefers to ignore.
Integrating the Duality
We are not just the impasto paint under the sun, nor are we solely the vibrant spirit in the dark. We are the entire canvas.
The true esoteric work does not consist of rejecting matter to reach the light, but of understanding that both halves coexist. It is learning to ignite our inner light to transmute tangible reality. The next time you look in the mirror, ask yourself: What colors would shine in you if we turned off the light of the world?
