The Reconciliation of Opposites

The conflict of the Two is resolved only by the emergence of the Three. The Triad is the first true equilibrium in Pythagorean geometry, representing the surface or the Triangle. It is the mediating force that steps between the opposing poles of the Dyad and weaves them into a stable synthesis.

This number embodies the law of harmony. It is the beginning, middle, and end; the past, present, and future. For the esoteric practitioner, the Triad demonstrates that dialectical friction always seeks a higher resolution. When caught in the agonizing pull of duality, the initiate must seek the third point—the apex of the triangle that transcends and unites the base.
