Tarot Cards - Major Arcana - Sun - 19
REVERSED: Inner child, feeling down, overly optimistic
SUN DESCRIPTION
The Sun Tarot card radiates with optimism and positivity. A large, bright sun shines in the sky, representing the source of all life on Earth. Underneath, four sunflowers grow tall above a brick wall, representing the four suits of the Minor Arcana and the four elements.
In the foreground, a young, naked child is sitting on top of a calm white horse. The child represents the joy of being connected with your inner spirit, and his nakedness is a sign he has nothing to hide and has all the innocence and purity of childhood. The white horse is also a sign of purity and strength.
Reversed Meaning
Keywords (Reversed): Temporary gloom, overcast optimism, unrealistic expectations, delayed joy.
When The Sun appears reversed, its radiant light is not extinguished, but merely masked by passing clouds. You may feel a temporary dip in vitality, enthusiasm, or joy, struggling to connect with the innocent optimism of the child on the white horse. Alternatively, it warns against toxic positivity or reckless, ungrounded optimism that refuses to acknowledge realistic obstacles.
In personal success, the reversal indicates that your breakthrough is imminent, but requires you to clear minor clouds of self-doubt.
Guidance & Remedy: The sun shines above the highest storm. Celebrate small victories, rest your physical body, and remember that warmth and clarity will return shortly.
