Cloud Centric Style Forest Image

Welcome to Part 2 of our forest image series, this time in a cloud-centric style. Here the forest is seen through drifting clouds and soft mist, so the trees and the sky seem to blend into one dreamy landscape. Scroll down to see the full set.

The first picture is the clearest statement of the idea. Two old trees frame a meadow thick with wildflowers, and between them a great bank of clouds rises in layers of blue, rose, gold and green, with butterflies scattered across it like sparks. It looks more like an illustration from a storybook than a photograph of any real place. Another image fills the frame with round, puffy trees in magenta, yellow, turquoise and red, set against a gray-blue sky where dark birds and orange butterflies circle.

Later images in the set turn quieter. In one, orange and amber trees stand on either side of a misty clearing while pale flakes drift through the air and a faint light breaks through at the center. In another, golden branches on one side meet a rosy canopy on the other, and the clouds below glow salmon and peach as if the sun were setting inside them. Throughout, the trees and the sky seem to blend into one landscape, which is what the cloud-centric style promises.
