Roger Bacon and the Speculum Alchemiae: The Science of the Subtle Elements
In the 13th century, a Franciscan friar and polymath of incredible daring named Roger Bacon articulated a vision of nature and spirit that would bridge the gap between medieval Scholasticism and the most advanced Hermetic insights. Often called Doctor Mirabilis (The Wonderful Doctor), Bacon produced a work of immense systematic power titled Speculum Alchemiae (The Mirror of Alchemy).
