The Supreme Point of Origin

Before the line, before the surface, and before the solid, there is only the Point. In Pythagorean philosophy, the number One is not merely a quantity; it is the Monad—the supreme, indivisible source of all existence. It is the absolute stillness from which the motion of the cosmos is born.

The Monad contains all other numbers within it in a state of unmanifest potential. It is both odd and even, male and female, light and dark, existing before the catastrophic birth of duality. To meditate upon the Monad is to strip away the illusion of multiplicity and return to the primordial silence of the Divine Mind.
